8TH EDITION OF SPORTS TOURNAMENT FOR THE MINING, PETROLEUM AND ENERGY SECTOR

This 8th edition of the Sports Tournament for Mines, Petroleum and Energy sector, started on Saturday 21 May was marked by a focus on the state of the pitch and safety conditions.

ANARE-CI, CI-ENERGIES, CIE, PETRO IVOIRE, PETROCI, SMB, SIR, PETRO IVOIRE, FOXTROT International, GESTOCI and the Ministry put their best efforts to enable their staff to resume sport competitions after a forced halt due to the COVID-19 health epidemic.

Thus, after a period of inactivity, and despite the bad weather the stadium of La SIR was filled with athletes, supporters and sports leaders. Among participants were all the companies’ managers.

Jean-Michel BONNET was there to cheer for his FOXTROT International teams. Ms. Kadidiatou DIALLO, CEO of CIPREL, Ms. Nina KEITA CAMARA and Mr. BAMBA, respectively Deputy CEO and CFO of GESTOCI were also present to accompany their players.

PETROCI, ANARE-CI and IDT were represented by Mrs. Bintou CAMARA, HR Manager of PETROCI, Mr Apollinaire KOUDOU, Deputy HR Manager of ANARE-CI and Mr Yao, Counsellor for IDT.

After Mr. Serge Abissa, President of the Organizing Committee of the tournament kickstarted the competition following the parade of companies’ athletes, matches of maracana, petanque, scrabble, checkers and men’s football could start.

Sixty FOXTROT staff took part in this ceremony, will compete in maracana, petanque, checkers, men’s football and men’s and women’s athletics.
