WORK PLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMITTEE (HSC)

Commonly considered an additional legal obligation in some companies, We at FOXTROT International rather see the Health and Safety Committee as an asset.
As evidence, where several company managers delegate their power, at FOXTROT the CEO personally chairs the HSC.
This would indicate, if further proof were required, how important is the staff well-being to the CEO.
What is the HSC?
The Health and Safety Committee (HSC) is a great tool for social dialogue between employers and employees.
As such, the HSC is responsible for:
– contributing to the protection of the health and safety of workers
– improving working conditions
– analyzing occupational risks and working conditions
– carrying out or participating in company inspections
– ensuring and contributing to informing and training workers (in particular new employees)
– participating in the selection of personal protective equipment (PPE)
– seeking better working conditions.
To fulfill this noble mission, the new FOXTROT HSC was inducted on Thursday, May 5, 2022, by the Labor Inspector, with the presence of representatives of the CNPS and the various unions to which the FOXTROT staff are affiliated.
The FOXTROT HSC is composed as follows:
Chairman: BONNET Jean-Michel, CEO
HSE Manager: NEMLIN Guy-Marc, HSE Deputy Director
Training Manager: YAO Ohounou, HR Manager
Occupational physician: Dr. ODI Auguste
Staff representatives: N’GUESSAN Kouamé Constant, Secretary of the Committee
ADEKPATE Raphaël Sunday
PITAH Aby Nancy-Laurel
DON Eliezer Anauh
GBALE Léandre
LAGO Armel Mimi
The staff representatives were elected at the end of April 2022, for a 2-year term.
The HSC will meet at least once a quarter, convened by its Chairman.
But whenever a Health and Safety emergency occurs or at the request of at least 2 of its members, the committee will hold an extraordinary meeting.
The FOXTROT HSC intends to fully fulfill its mission. However, to achieve this, the staff will have to take ownership and participate actively.
