BOUYGUES GROUP AND SCDM DONATE MORE MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO COTE D’IVOIRE FOR COVID-19 PANDEMIC RELIEF

As a contribution to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, Bouygues Group, via its subsidiary Bouygues Construction and SCDM, have donated an additional 400,000 surgical face masks to Côte d’Ivoire’s Health Services. These add to the 600,000 face masks delivered on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, totalling to one million surgical masks donated to this day.

The plane carrying the equipment landed on Tuesday, 12 May 2020 at Félix Houphouet-Boigny airport in Abidjan. On Tuesday 2nd June, the Ministry of Health held a ceremony hosted by senior government officials, among which, Maître Adama Kamara, representing H.E Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly together with Aouélé Eugène Aka, Minister of Health and Public Hygiene. Also attending the ceremony, were Regional Health Advisor Mrs Floriane Bougeard, West Africa Regional Economic Department Manager Mr François Sporrer , both representing French Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, H.E Gilles Huberson , and representatives of Bouygues Construction subsidiaries operating in Côte d’Ivoire and of SCDM, in the persons of Director General of SETAO Nicolas de Roquefeuil, , Director General of Bouygues Energies et Services Cote d’Ivoire Philip Choyer and Christian Maure, representing Bouygues Travaux Publics and Jean-Michel Bonnet, Managing Director of Foxtrot International LDC (subsidiary of SCDM).

This second donation further strengthens the historic engagement of both Bouygues Group and SCDM with the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire. These donations are a token of solidarity with the Ivorian authorities to support their fight against COVID-19.

The Minister of Health and Public Hygiene specially thanked the donors for their unwavering support to the Ivorian government.
